Terms of Service
Last updated: June 7, 2026
Welcome to M&N Music Studio.
M&N Music Studio is the public name used by Nataliia Belichenko and Mykhailo Belichenko for their music lesson services.
These Terms of Service explain the general rules for using our website, contacting us, requesting lessons and participating in music lessons through M&N Music Studio.
By using this website, submitting a contact form, booking a lesson or participating in lessons, you agree to these Terms.
If the student is under 19 years of age, a parent or legal guardian must make the booking and is responsible for communication, payments, consent and compliance with these Terms.
1. About M&N Music Studio
M&N Music Studio provides private music lessons in Vernon, British Columbia and online.
Our lessons may include piano, violin, guitar, music theory, harmony, ear training, RCM theory support and related music instruction.
Lessons may be available in English or Russian, depending on the teacher, student and lesson format.
2. Website Use
You may use this website to learn about our lessons, teachers, pricing, policies and contact options.
You agree not to use this website for unlawful activity, spam, abusive communication, attempts to damage the website or any activity that interferes with normal website operation.
The content on this website is provided for general information. We may update, change or remove website content at any time.
3. Website Information
We make reasonable efforts to keep lesson information, pricing, teacher profiles and policies accurate and up to date.
However, website content may contain errors, outdated information or availability that has changed.
Submitting a form or viewing information on the website does not guarantee teacher availability, a specific lesson time, a specific lesson format or acceptance as a student.
4. Booking Lessons
Submitting a contact form or booking request does not automatically confirm a lesson.
A lesson is confirmed only after we reply and agree on the teacher, lesson type, lesson length, schedule, location or online format, fee and payment arrangement.
We may ask for information such as the student’s age, instrument, current level, goals, preferred lesson format and parent or guardian contact details.
We may decline or postpone a booking if the requested lesson is not a good fit, if no suitable time is available or if we cannot safely or reasonably provide the requested service.
5. Separate Lesson Agreement
These Terms apply to general website use, inquiries, booking requests and general studio services.
For regular lessons, a separate Private Music Lesson Agreement, written lesson confirmation or email confirmation may also apply.
That separate agreement or confirmation may include the teacher, student, instrument, lesson length, frequency, start date, location or online format, fee, payment schedule, cancellation rules and termination notice.
If there is a conflict between these Terms and a signed lesson agreement, the signed lesson agreement will apply to lesson-specific terms such as lesson length, schedule, fees and payment arrangement.
6. Students Under 19
In British Columbia, students under 19 are minors.
If the student is under 19, all bookings, payments, cancellations, consent decisions and policy agreements must be handled by a parent or legal guardian.
Parents and guardians are responsible for making sure the student attends lessons on time, has the required materials and follows the lesson policies.
7. Lesson Format
Lessons may take place at our Vernon studio or online.
The best format depends on the student’s age, instrument, level and goals. Some lessons, especially music theory and exam preparation, may work well online. Younger beginners may benefit more from in-person lessons.
Online lessons require a stable internet connection, a suitable device, a working camera and microphone and a quiet space where the student can focus.
8. Lesson Length and Schedule
Lesson length, frequency and schedule are agreed before lessons begin.
Common lesson lengths may include 30, 45 or 60 minutes, depending on the student’s age, level and goals.
Regular attendance is important for progress. Students and parents are expected to keep cancellations, interruptions and schedule changes to a minimum.
Unless a different written agreement applies, regular lessons may be ended with 2 weeks’ written notice by email.
9. Fees and Payment
Lesson fees are listed on the website or confirmed directly before lessons begin.
Payment terms may include monthly payment or another agreed payment schedule.
Payment may be made by the method we confirm, such as e-transfer, cash or another accepted method.
Fees must be paid on time. If payment is late, we may pause lessons until the outstanding amount is paid.
Prices may change from time to time. Any change to ongoing lesson fees will be communicated before it applies.
10. Cancellation and Missed Lessons
Students are expected to attend all scheduled lessons on time.
Cancellations must be communicated at least 24 hours before the scheduled lesson.
Lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, or missed without notice, will be charged in full and will not be rescheduled.
A missed lesson for a valid reason may be rescheduled if teacher availability allows, but rescheduling is not guaranteed.
Valid reasons may include student illness, infectious disease, unavoidable medical appointments, family emergencies, force majeure or school events approved in advance.
Invalid reasons include forgetting the lesson, lack of preparation, unwillingness to attend, lack of time or other avoidable scheduling issues.
If a teacher must cancel a lesson, we will offer a rescheduled lesson, credit or refund for that lesson.
Lessons during school breaks and statutory holidays are scheduled by mutual agreement.
11. Late Arrival
Students should arrive or join online lessons on time.
If a student is late, the lesson will still end at the scheduled time. Missed time caused by late arrival is not added to the end of the lesson or refunded.
If the teacher is late, the missed time will be made up or otherwise handled fairly.
12. Refunds and Credits
Lessons already provided are not refundable.
Lessons missed without proper notice are not refundable.
Lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice are charged in full and are not refundable.
If we cancel a lesson and cannot reschedule it, we will provide a credit or refund for that lesson.
If regular lessons are ended with proper notice, any unused prepaid amount will be reviewed and may be credited or refunded after deducting lessons already provided, lessons missed or cancelled late, and any other amounts owed.
Refunds are not provided for lack of practice, lack of progress, change of mind after a scheduled lesson has taken place or failure to attend.
13. Student Responsibilities
Students are expected to bring or prepare all required materials, including the instrument, books, sheet music, assignments and any other materials requested by the teacher.
Students are expected to practise regularly at home.
Practice expectations depend on the student’s age, level and goals. We do not guarantee progress without regular practice and attendance.
Students must behave respectfully during lessons. Disruptive, unsafe or disrespectful behaviour may lead to paused or terminated lessons.
14. Parent and Guardian Responsibilities
Parents and guardians are responsible for communication, payment, attendance and support for students under 19.
Parents and guardians should inform the teacher about relevant learning needs, health concerns, scheduling limitations or other information that may affect lessons.
Parents and guardians should not interrupt lessons unless necessary.
Siblings or other family members may attend only if agreed in advance and only if they do not disrupt the lesson.
15. Supervision Before and After Lessons
M&N Music Studio provides music instruction only. We do not provide childcare or general supervision outside the scheduled lesson time.
Parents and guardians are responsible for the student before the lesson begins and after the lesson ends.
Students should be picked up on time after in-person lessons.
If a waiting area is available, it may be used only in a calm and respectful manner. Parents and guardians remain responsible for any children waiting before, during or after a lesson.
16. Teacher Responsibilities
We aim to provide professional, respectful and structured music instruction.
Teachers will provide guidance, feedback and appropriate lesson material based on the student’s age, level and goals.
Teachers may recommend books, materials, practice routines, exam preparation or other learning support when appropriate.
We may keep reasonable records of lesson attendance and communicate about student progress when needed.
17. Books, Instruments and Materials
Students may need to purchase books, sheet music, exam materials, notebooks or other learning materials.
Students are responsible for having access to a suitable instrument for regular practice at home.
If you are unsure what instrument or material to buy, please ask before purchasing. We can give general guidance, but the final purchase decision is the responsibility of the student or parent or guardian.
18. Studio Property and Instruments
Students and accompanying visitors must treat the studio, instruments, furniture and materials with care.
Parents and guardians may be responsible for damage caused by a student or accompanying child through misuse, careless behaviour or failure to follow studio rules.
19. Online Lessons
For online lessons, the student or parent or guardian is responsible for internet connection, device setup, sound, camera position and a suitable learning environment.
If technical problems on the student’s side prevent the lesson from taking place, the lesson may still be charged.
If technical problems on the teacher’s side prevent the lesson from taking place, we will offer a rescheduled lesson, credit or refund for that lesson.
Online lessons may not be recorded unless both the teacher and the student or parent or guardian agree in advance.
20. Media, Photos and Video
We do not publish a student’s photo, video, name or identifying information for promotional purposes without permission.
Media consent is optional.
If consent is given, photos or videos may be used on the website, social media, printed materials or other studio-related publications.
If the student is under 19, media consent must be given by a parent or legal guardian.
Consent may be withdrawn by contacting us in writing. Withdrawal will apply to future use where reasonably possible, but it may not remove materials already printed, shared or published before we received the withdrawal.
21. Privacy and Personal Information
We collect personal information only as reasonably needed to respond to inquiries, arrange lessons, communicate with students and parents, process payments, manage attendance and provide music instruction.
This may include names, contact details, student age, lesson goals, instrument, level, scheduling information and payment-related information.
We do not sell personal information.
We may use trusted service providers for website hosting, email, scheduling, payment or communication tools. These providers may process information only as needed to provide their services.
For more details, please see our Privacy Policy.
22. Health and Safety
Students should not attend in-person lessons when they have a fever, infectious illness or symptoms that may put others at risk.
If the student is unwell, please contact us as early as possible.
We may refuse or stop an in-person lesson if there is a health, safety or behavioural concern.
23. Respectful Learning Environment
We aim to provide a respectful and safe learning environment for students, parents, guardians and teachers.
Discrimination, harassment, intimidation, abusive language or unsafe behaviour will not be accepted.
We may refuse, pause or terminate lessons if behaviour creates a safety, respect or professional concern.
24. Termination of Lessons
Lessons may be ended by the student, parent or guardian or M&N Music Studio.
Notice of termination should be given in writing by email.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, we ask for 2 weeks’ notice before ending regular lessons.
We may terminate lessons immediately if there is non-payment, repeated missed lessons, unsafe behaviour, harassment, disrespectful conduct, repeated breach of these Terms or another serious issue.
Any refund or credit will be handled according to these Terms and any separate written lesson agreement.
25. No Guaranteed Results
We aim to provide high-quality music instruction and support each student’s progress.
However, musical progress depends on attendance, practice, student readiness, instrument quality, learning pace and other individual factors.
We do not guarantee exam results, competition results, performance outcomes, admission decisions or a specific level of progress by a specific date.
26. Exams and RCM Support
We may support students with music theory, harmony, RCM theory preparation and related learning goals.
Exam registration, deadlines, fees, requirements and results are controlled by the relevant exam organization, not by M&N Music Studio.
Students and parents are responsible for reviewing external exam requirements, deadlines and fees.
27. Professional Memberships and Teacher Profiles
Any professional membership, registration or teacher profile mentioned on this website applies only to the individual teacher and subject area stated.
Nothing on this website should be understood as implying that every teacher has the same membership, designation or registration status.
28. Intellectual Property
All website text, design, images, lesson materials created by us and other studio content belong to M&N Music Studio or the respective rights holder.
You may not copy, reproduce, publish, distribute or use our website content, lesson materials or media for commercial purposes without written permission.
Students may use assigned lesson materials for personal study only.
29. Third-Party Links
Our website may link to third-party websites, platforms, videos, resources or payment tools.
We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, availability or policies of third-party websites or services.
Using third-party services is subject to their own terms and policies.
30. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, M&N Music Studio is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses connected with use of the website, lesson participation, online lesson technical issues, missed lessons, exam outcomes or third-party services.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability where it cannot legally be limited.

We may update these Terms from time to time.
The updated version will be posted on this website with a new Last updated date.
By continuing to use the website or participate in lessons after changes are posted, you accept the updated Terms.
